Our new public awareness campaign, Connecticut Speaks, launched  with a 30-second television spot during the second quarter of Sunday's New York Jets-New England Patriots playoff game.

There are four television spots and four 30-second radio spots in all, based on the following themes.

The spots feature people from all over the state. They were approached at random and invited to share their thoughts about government spending, creating jobs, the economy, and government accountability. No scripts, no prepared comments  -- just people sharing their views and hopes for the future of our state.

You will see and hear the Connecticut Speaks campaign a lot over the coming weeks, whether you live in Greenwich or Danbury, Hartford or Stonington, Bridgeport or Torrington.

The radio spots air during morning and evening drive time in all radio markets.
