Annual FMLA Report for 2011

Employers covered by the state Family and medical Leave Act (FMLA) are asked by our state Labor Dept to submit their annual FMLA leave experience report. Leaves required to be reported include:

  • For the birth or adoption of a child (maternal or paternal)
  • To care for a seriously ill child, parent or spouse
  • For the employee’s own serious illness

FMLA leave lasting less than five days and portions of leave exceeding 16 weeks need not be reported.
