Annual FMLA Report for 2012

Employers covered by the state Family and Medical leave Act (FMLA) are reminded to submit their annual FMLA experience report to the state Labor Dept by April 1. Leaves that should be reported include:

  • For the birth or adoption of a child (maternal or paternal)
  • To care for a seriously ill family member
  • For the employee’s own serious illness

FMLA leave lasting for fewer than five days and portions of leave exceeding 16 weeks need not be reported.
