Neighboring states are years ahead of Connecticut and enjoying the academic outcomes to prove it. Education reform does not mean more delay and more studies.

Connecticut is a study … a study in what happens when hard decisions are put off time and time again.

Our state is a lone outpost of mediocrity in the Northeast.  We can’t afford to fail even one more class of students.

Don’t let politics block school reform. We need the following to happen this year:

  • Provide teachers and leaders the supports they need to be effective, and advance their careers by linking evaluations to tenure.
  • Give the state Commissioner of Education the tools needed to fix the lowest-achieving schools
  • Attract and retain the best talent in our schools

Connecticut cannot wait another year.

We cannot settle for half-measures.
