Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will be the keynote speaker at Connecticut Business Day on Wednesday, March 5, at the State Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

Hundreds of business leaders from across Connecticut will come to the event to hear from the governor, and state legislative leaders, and participate in discussions on how to make Connecticut a top state in which to do business.

Also on the program will be the unveiling of a new statewide campaign called “CT20x17” that’s designed to help make Connecticut a top 20 state for business by 2017.

The Connecticut Business Day agenda includes:

7:15 am -- Networking, breakfast and registration at 7:15 am

8:15 am -- Program begins with welcoming remarks by Nancy Dudchik, President, Hamden Chamber of Commerce; President, Connecticut Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives

8:25 am -- Gov. Malloy, introduced by John Rathgeber, CBIA president and CEO

9 am – Legislative Leadership Panel

9:50 am – CT20x17 Campaign

10:15 am -- Breakout sessions on topics including:

·        Fiscal Policy  Room 2D

·         Regulatory reform, Room 2D

·         Labor and healthcare, Room 2A

11 am – Meetings with Local State Legislators

The breakout sessions, and the overall event, are designed to help identify solutions that elected officials can work together to pursue in a bipartisan manner to make Connecticut more economically competitive.
