Mohegan Sun Adds iCleanse Devices
Visitors to Mohegan Sun have a new way to sanitize their smartphones.
Avon-based iCleanse announced that it installed 15 of its Swift UV units, which don’t use any chemicals, throughout Mohegan.
Ultraviolet light disinfects phones within 15 seconds, ridding them of pathogens like COVID, RSV, or influenza.
The units, installed in time for the peak of cold and flu season, will also be used to promote on-site merchants throughout Mohegan Sun’s property.
“We chose Swift UV units based on their easy deployment, efficient operation, and ability to have additional on-site advertising for our entertainment offerings and promos,” said Mohegan Sun chief marketing officer Kimberly Noto.
These devices are located in various high traffic areas including Mohegan Sun’s two casinos, arena, retail locations, and hotel lobby.
‘Dual Benefit’
iCleanse delivers promotional content to the Swift UV units via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or 4G.
Clients can manage advertisements within a content management system, or have iCleanse secure third-party advertisements.
“Our partnership with Mohegan Sun represents another milestone in adopting Swift UV technology,” said iCleanse CEO Chris Allen.
“By combining ultraviolet technology with place-based advertising, we deliver dual benefit to any merchant or organization with public space.”
iCleanse has nearly 150 Swift UV devices deployed in over 60 businesses around the United States.
In Connecticut alone, the devices are located at the XL Center, the Connecticut Science Center, the Connecticut Convention Center, and Bradley International Airport.
