An important vote occurred this week in the Environment Committee on the most comprehensive regulatory reform bill (SB-453) currently being considered by the General Assembly.

With strong bipartisan support, including Commerce Committee Co-chair Jeff Berger (D-Waterbury) and Ranking Member Mike Alberts (R-East Woodstock); and Environment Committee Co-chair Rep. Richard Roy (D-Milford), Vice-chair Sen. Andrew Maynard (D- Stonington), and Ranking Members Senate Minority Leader John McKinney (R-Fairfield) and Rep. Clark Chapin (R-New Milford), the Environment Committee approved the measure.

CBIA appreciates the support of the members of these committees who voted to improve Connecticut’s regulatory climate.
