New Senate Committee Chairs

Sen. President Don Williams (D-Brooklyn) last week announced that he has appointed Sen. Steve Cassano (D-Manchester) as the new Senate Chair of the Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee, and Sen. Cathy Osten (D-Sprague) as Senate Chair of the Planning and Development Committee (P&D).

Sen. Cassano was co-chair of P&D and vice chair of the Higher Education Committee. Sen. Osten has been co-chair of the Labor Committee and served as vice chair of P&D.

There was no announcement on who will be named the next Senate Chair of the Labor Committee.
