Whether actively shopping or merely window shopping, you need to know what is out there to get the best deal.
When it comes to hiring, which all indicators are suggesting you’ll likely be doing this year, qualified workers are expected to be in short supply as the economy heats up.
If prescreened and work-ready job seekers sounds attractive, you should stop by The Chrysalis Center’s 6th Annual Reentry Employment and Resource Fair in Hartford on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
Even if you are not actively recruiting but just want to learn more about hiring sources, don’t deny your company the potential contributions from qualified, capable workers seeking a second chance at life.
In collaboration with the Greater Hartford Reentry Council, this is an opportunity to meet and interview highly motivated, prepared, and pre-registered job seekers who are working to return to their community after incarceration.

In many instances, job seekers come with a support team. How many of your current workforce has such a platform for success?
If you are a business owner or hiring manager who is unsure about hiring individuals that have been incarcerated, come early and attend the employer breakfast for a delicious catered meal, great networking opportunities, and informative remarks from Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin and John Santa, chairman and founder of the Malta Justice Initiative.
Connecticut’s returning citizen population includes many talented, motivated, dedicated members of our workforce who are often dismissed but have a lot to offer.
Booth setup runs from 8 to 9 am, followed by the employer breakfast at 9 and the job fair from 10:30 am–12:30 pm.
Register as a guest employer or exhibitor, or contact Rob Michalman (860.263.4682) of the Chrysalis Center with any questions.
