Thomaston Savings Bank Leader Recognized for Distinguished Service

The Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce is recognizing Thomaston Savings Bank president and CEO Stephen Lewis for his service to the community. 

Chamber executives presented Lewis the E. Bartlett Barnes Distinguished Service Award at the Chamber’s 134th annual awards dinner June 5. 

“Steve exemplifies the criteria for this award – spirit, integrity, character, and leadership in the community,” said Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce president and CEO Katie D’Agostino.

Community Commitment 

Lewis has been with Thomaston Savings Bank since 2006. 

He started as chief financial officer before taking over the bank as president and CEO in 2010. 

Chamber executives said his leadership has helped the bank grow significantly. Specifically, the bank has expanded into new markets and invested in new technology during his tenure.

The bank currently operates 16 full-service branches in Connecticut and has two contact centers. 

Lewis also serves a number of roles within the banking industry and greater Thomaston community. 

“His never-ending support of our region and the Chamber doesn’t go unnoticed, and I am so glad we had the opportunity to recognize him,” D’Agostino said.
