New England Air Museum Opens Tuskegee Exhibit
New England’s largest aviation museum is welcoming a new permanent exhibit to highlight the nation’s first Black military aviators.
The Tuskegee Airmen: Their Untold Stories exhibit opens at the New England Air Museum in East Granby June 4.
The Tuskegee airmen fought alongside U.S. allies to defeat the Nazis in World War II despite their own battles with racism and discrimination.
The airmen are also credited with the integration of the U.S. military.
