Two Connecticut business leaders are looking to shake-up Connecticut’s podcasting network to support Connecticut’s growing manufacturing sector.

The Bolder Company founding partners Jenny Drescher and Ellen Feldman Ornato hosted the first episode of The Manufacturing Shake-Up podcast June 25.

Sponsored by the Connecticut Office of Manufacturing, the team wants the podcast to help transform the manufacturing landscape for women.

From employees working on the shop floor to the front office, Drescher and Ornato will speak to guests from across the manufacturing ecosystem.

“I’m really excited to have this be of value to the women who are currently working in manufacturing and to inspire women to seek careers in manufacturing.”

Chief Manufacturing Officer Paul Lavoie

Paul Lavoie, Connecticut’s chief manufacturing officer, joined the hosts for the first episode.

“I’m really, really excited to have this be of value to the women who are currently working in manufacturing and to inspire women to seek careers in manufacturing as well,” he said.

Lavoie said his team came up with the idea of the podcast to help women with professional development through a different platform.

Episodes are designed for short listening sessions in the car or running errands and will be 20 minutes in length.
