Murtha Cullina LLP has named Michelle Doran as its chief operating officer.

As COO, Doran will oversee the overall business, finance, and operations of the firm, working with other senior leaders to develop and implement strategy, which includes smart growth in the New England corridor.

“Adding a transformative, forward-thinking leader like Michelle to our leadership team positions us to take advantage of the opportunities presented as we emerge from the pandemic, said managing partner Andy Corea.

“She brings energy, passion and over 25 years of senior-leadership to the role.”

“I’m thrilled that Michelle has joined us,” said John Mutchler, chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

“She is proven in mentorship and uses strong diversity principles in her operational practice.”

Doran said she wanted to join the Murtha team because of its plan to grow strategically and operationally post-pandemic.

“There is so much opportunity to shift post-pandemic and be an innovative leader in today’s legal market,” she said.

Prior to joining Murtha Cullina, Doran was a regional director of operations for an international AmLaw 100 firm, leading multiple offices across the U.S., London, and China.
