State's Manufacturers Showcase Products, Innovation, and Policy Issues May 13
From pasta to jet engines and power tools to pharmaceuticals and submarines, Connecticut's manufacturing sector will be on display May 13 at the State Capitol in Hartford.
More than 40 of the state's leading manufacturers will showcase their products and technologies at this year's Manufacturing & Technology Day.
Capitol visitors will see a wide array of products, including new technologies that are reshaping how things are made in the medical, defense, consumer goods, and aerospace industries.
Manufacturing & Technology Day begins at 8:30 am in room 310, with a program for manufacturers and legislators on today's top issues and developments in the 2015 session of the General Assembly.
Guest speakers will include the co-chairs of the Legislative Manufacturing Caucus, Sen. Joan Hartley (D-Waterbury) and Rep. Selim Noujaim (R-Waterbury); and Catherine Smith, commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development.
