Respected Political Analyst Previews 2012 Presidential, Connecticut Congressional Races
Charlie Cook, one of the country's most respected political analysts, brings his early view of the 2012 presidential race to CBIA's 196th Annual Meeting & Reception on Tuesday, Oct. 25 in Hartford.
Cook, dubbed "the Picasso of election analysis" by the Wall Street Journal, is editor and publisher of the Cook Political Report and an analyst for NBC News and National Journal, where he writes a twice-weekly column.
Cook has been an election night analyst for CNN and CBS News and since 1994 for NBC News. He has appeared on all three major broadcast networks evening news programs and is a frequent guest on NBC's "Meet the Press."
The New York Times called Cook "one of the best political handicappers in the nation" and said the Cook Political Report was "a newsletter which both parties regard as authoritative."
In a recent column, Cook wrote that while it's still far away, "The 2012 presidential election is shaping up to be one of oddest in memory and potentially far more dramatic than one might guess."
CBIA's 196th Annual Meeting & Reception will take place at the Marriott Hartford Downtown on Oct. 25, from 4:15 to 7:30 pm.
