Congratulations to Carol Wallace, CEO of Cooper-Atkins and former CBIA board member. Carol was recently selected as one of the Hartford Business Journal’s Women of the year.

Cooper-Atkins is a leading manufacturer and provider of quality time, temperature, and humidity instruments to the food service, HVAC, industrial, and healthcare sectors. The firm employs 105 people in Connecticut and an additional 45 throughout the country and internationally.

Having joined the company at her father’s request in 1991, Carol has grown Cooper-Atkins into a $40- million-per-year company with an expanding global footprint. In fact, she has increased export sales by 36% in the past four years.

The foundation of this growth has been her focus on people and treating them right.

“I grew up with my mom always talking about the Golden Rule and doing unto others as you would have them do unto you,” she recalls.
