Connecticut has three companies in the top 500 and 50 in the top 5,000

Inc5000Inc. Magazine has released it’s annual report with the top 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the U.S. This year’s list measures revenue growth from 2011 to 2014. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2011. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent–not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies–as of December 31, 2014. The minimum required 2011 revenue is $100,000; the minimum for 2014 is $2 million. Revenue listed in the company profiles is for calendar year 2014. Employee counts are current. Employees receiving benefits are included in the employee counts. Inc. also reserves the right to reject applicants for subjective reasons. The companies of the Inc. 500 represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000.

Three Connecticut companies made the top 500 and fifty Connecticut based businesses made the top 5,000. Several CBIA members made the list. One member Dymotek, a plastic injection molding solutions manufacturer based in Ellington, CT made the list for the first time at number 3105. “It is an honor and an incredible accomplishment to be named in the Inc. 5000,” stated Normand Forest, CEO of Dymotek which is based in Ellington. ‘I’m so proud of the level of commitment from all our associates that make up our successful Dymotek team.”
