Is your company prepared if disaster strikes? For many small business owners, business continuity is a daunting task.

The American Red Cross is hosting a free workshop Thursday, March 15, to help small businesses prepare for the worst.

Participants will:

  • Learn about the most important features of small business continuity planning
  • Complete key components of building their organization’s continuity plan
  • Receive free Ready Rating resources and tools to advance their organization’s readiness after the workshop concludes
  • And proactively contribute to overall community resiliency to ensure consumer safety and demand after a disaster

The Business Continuity and Resilience Workshop takes place in the Dining Hall at Yale University Greenbert Conference Center (391 Prospect St., New Haven) from 9 am-1 pm.

This program is part of a national pilot and the only available workshop in the Northeast this year.

This event is open to American Red Cross community and emergency management partners, donors,  and supporters, along with owners and managers of any small to medium-sized businesses.

It will be conducted by members of the American Red Cross National Young Professionals Council in partnership with Disaster Cycle Services.

To register for the workshop, please email Cristen Hodgers. Registration is required. Please respond by Monday, March 5.
