NLRB Posting Rule Pushed to 4/30
The National Labor Relations Board has postponed the effective date of its new rule mandating the workplace posting of an employee rights notice.
The rule had been scheduled to go into effect on January 31, 2012. The effective date is now April 30, 2012.
The postponement came at the request of the federal court in Washington, D.C. hearing a legal challenge to the rule. The Board says it determined that postponing the effective date would facilitate resolution of the complicated legal issues involved in the court case.
Most private sector employers will be subject to the new posting requirement. For more information, visit the NLRB website.
