The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration recently published technical corrections and amendments to 27 OSHA standards and regulations.

The corrections and amendments amount to “minor misprints, omissions, outdated references, and tabular and graphic inaccuracies,” according to OSHA.

The revisions apply to several industry sectors, including general industry, construction, shipyard employment, and longshoring.

Some revisions may reduce employer costs, and none expand employer obligations or impose new costs.

“These revisions do not affect the substantive requirements or coverage of the standards, do not modify or revoke existing rights or obligations, and do not establish new rights or obligations,” OSHA said in the published amendments.

“The purpose of these correcting amendments is to reduce regulatory burdens by correcting the inaccuracies in regulatory text and graphics.”
