The future of Connecticut manufacturing depends on a consistent pipeline of skilled employees.
However, growing demand and a wave of retirements means that Connecticut’s manufacturers will need tens of thousands of skilled workers in the coming years.
Connecticut manufacturingTo address this need, Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network and CBIA are excited to announce a new video storytelling series called “Making the Future.”
The series is designed to encourage high school students, and by extension their parents and educators, to “see themselves” in exciting manufacturing careers and the lifestyles they can provide.
Viewers will see and hear from a diverse group of industry young professionals, sparking a personal connection that goes beyond a traditional testimonial piece.
The 12-month video series, targeted to launch this fall, will present three-minute short video stories and will appear on CPTV and be distributed via social media.
Other assets, including a website and education resources, will also be available.
Manufacturer and supply chain companies: you can be a part of this exciting opportunity and showcase all your industry has to offer the next generation.
