In partnership with Goodwin College, the Career Pathways Initiative supports unemployed and underemployed adults in their goal to enter the state’s manufacturing workforce through support services, manufacturing skills training, and job placement.
The program is funded by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
Career Pathways InitiativeOnce participants have been trained and receive a credential, CBIA identifies employers, provides job readiness coaching for program participants, and coordinates with Goodwin’s Career Services team to place them in jobs with area manufacturers.
After placement, CBIA liaises with employers’ human resources staff to troubleshoot and support retention.
