Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act

If your company has 100 or more employees and you are closing a facility and/or laying off a significant number of people, you may be subject to the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.

Among other things, this law requires employers to provide 60-day advance notification of plant closings and mass layoffs.
