Workforce Solutions Collaborative
CBIA’s Education & Workforce Partnership, with funding from the Workforce Solutions Collaborative of Metro Hartford, trains eligible job seekers to address the growing labor demand among transportation, distribution, and logistics sector employers.
The partnership was developed to identify skills needed for entry- and mid-level jobs in the TDL sector, and implement a coordinated plan to train workers.
CBIA serves as the sector intermediary, providing links to employers, workforce training, and education providers.
The partnership currently focuses on the need for front line workers in supply chain logistics. This includes material handling and distribution workers in factories, warehouses, distribution centers, as well as transporters.
Goodwin University in East Hartford, in conjunction with CBIA the TDL Workforce Partnership, offers a three-credit, Certified Logistics Technician credential course at no cost to eligible job seekers.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive their Certified Logistics Associate and Technician credentials from the Manufacturing Skills Standard Council.
