The Connecticut Economy
Josh Geballe, Yale University’s senior associate provost for entrepreneurship and innovation, was the featured speaker at CBIA’s September 24 The Connecticut Economy conference, drawing on his successful public and private sector experiences as he highlighted the critical role innovation plays in driving economic growth and opportunity.
The conference also featured the release of the CBIA Foundation’s strategic economic action plan, a long-term roadmap for boosting the state’s competitiveness, retaining and attracting investment and talent, fostering innovation, expanding career pathway opportunities, and growing a vibrant economy.
Yale New Haven Health’s Paul Mounds discussed the plan with economic development leaders from other states, sharing best practices for growing a sustainable, competitive economy and driving generational change.
Marcum’s Michael Brooder reviewed the results of CBIA’s annual survey of Connecticut businesses with a panel of business leaders, examining the challenges and opportunities that companies face as they navigate an ever-evolving economic landscape.
