CBIA’s June 11 Energy & Environment Conference is a must-attend event for businesses, covering all aspects of energy and environment policy.

This year’s conference covers energy and environment policy in relation to climate change, Wave 2 revisions, renewable energy options for end users, remediation reform, energy efficiency during the COVID-19 pandemic, the transition to release based remediation transition, PFAS, and a 2021 legislative session recap.

ExxonMobil Corporation’s Andrew Sinclair and FuelCell Energy’s Jennifer Arasimowicz are among the speakers this year, addressing Exxon’s investments in lower emission energy initiatives, including carbon capture technologies—a feature of its partnership with Danbury-based Fuel Cell Energy.

Graham Stevens, chief of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Water Protection and Land Reuse, and Pullman & Comley‘s Lee Hoffman review the transition from the Transfer Act to release-based remediation.

Renewable Options

Robinson+Cole’s Joey Lee Miranda and Concentric Energy Advisors’ Gregg Therrien share some of the newer renewable energy options for end users, focusing on recent trends and technologies and how they fit into the overall regulatory environment.

Winnick Ruben Hoffnung Peabody & Mendel LLC’s Elizabeth Fortino and Burns & McDonnell’s Rachel Rosen share the inside story on Wave 2 revisions to the Remediation Standard Regulations and the new Environmental Use Restriction regulations.

Day Pitney’s Harold Blinderman, the Bristol Facility Policy Board’s Mark Bobman, Pratt & Whitney’s Steven Eitelman, Hoffman, Arcadis US’ Debbie Hoyes, Kaman Corp’s Wojciech Krach, and Woodard & Curran’s Dave Krochko provide an in-depth overview of current energy and environment regulatory changes.
