Marion Manufacturing Acquires Bristol Manufacturer

Cheshire-based Marion Manufacturing has acquired Bristol-based Jo-Vek Tool & Die Manufacturing Co.

The acquisition expands Marion’s capacity and technical capabilities.

Together, the two Connecticut manufacturers bring more than 150 years of combined experience.

Marion officials said the move is about more than an acquisition.

“The decision to bring Marion and Jo-Vek together wasn’t simply about expanding capacity,” said comapny president Douglas Johnson.

“It was about bringing together two companies that believe in the same things: investing in people, building lasting customer relationships, and ensuring the knowledge and relationships built over generations are carried forward right here at home. That’s something we’re incredibly proud of.”

Marion, which is celebrating 80 years as a precision metal stamping company, said every Jo-Vek employee will remain with the organization.

The company said the move preserves Jo-Vek’s workforce and expertise.

Jo-Vek has been a custom tool manufacturer since 1952.

Company officials said the acquisition will ensure continuity for customers while providing expanded manufacturing capacity, additional technical expertise, and greater production flexibility.
