The Lee Company Acquires Two Facilities

The Lee Company is expanding its manufacturing capacity.

The Westbrook-based manufacturer announced Aug. 26 that it is acquiring new facilities in Connecticut and South Carolina.

The acquisitions include a 35,000-square-foot manufacturing building in Beacon Falls and an 84,500-square-foot facility in Rock Hill, SC.

The company said the facilities will provide space and infrastructure that will allow for increased production, accelerate the innovation of new products and technologies, and support growing customer demand.

“The additional space will enhance operational flexibility while maintaining the quality and reliability that our customers expect,” said company CEO Marietta Lee.

New Opportunities

The Lee Company manufactures miniature precision fluid control products for industries including aerospace and defense, automotive, medical equipment, motorsports, and power generation.

The company said the additional facilities will support long-term growth while complementing its Connecticut manufacturing operations.

Officials also said the expansion will create new employment opportunities for skilled machinists and other professionals.

“These investments will strengthen our ability to support existing programs, pursue new opportunities, and respond to evolving market needs,” Lee said.

Lee is the featured speaker at the Oct. 1 Made in Connecticut: 2026 Manufacturing Summit in Hartford.

Earlier this year, the company said it began acquiring assets from Watertown-based Petron Automation, a precision CNC Swiss machining and contract manufacturing company.

The company said it plans to retain employees and continue operations. Those employees and equipment are expected to relocate to the Beacon Falls facility.

Founded in 1948, The Lee Company employs more than 1,100 people at its Westbrook and Essex locations.
