National Advisory Committee on Safety and Health Seeks New Members

The U.S. Department of Labor is looking to fill two seats on the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health. 

The committee serves as an advisory board to the Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Health and Human Services. 

The 12-members who sit on the committee give recommendations to the agencies related to administering the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

OSHA is looking for a public representative and an occupational health professional representative. 

The committee meets between two and four times each year. 

New members will serve two-year terms starting Nov. 16, 2023. 

The Secretary of Labor will appoint members designated by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. 

Nominations should be submitted through the Federal eRulemaking Portal, Docket Number OSHA-2023-0003 by Aug. 30, 2023.
