CBIA, Connecticut’s largest business organization, has named Peter Myers as a public policy associate on its advocacy team.

Prior to joining CBIA, Myers worked with Roy & Leroy Government Relations during the 2022 legislative session and was a communications intern in the office of then-Treasurer Shawn Wooden the previous year.

“When we first met Pete during the last legislative session, we quickly noticed his incredible work ethic and we jumped at the chance to bring him on board,” said CBIA vice president of public policy Eric Gjede.

As part of CBIA’s advocacy team, Myers will focus on transportation, energy, workers’ compensation, and housing issues.

“Pete shares our mission of transforming the state for the long-term by building a sustainable opportunity economy that emphasizes affordability, meaningful careers, and a positive business climate,” Gjede said.

Myers has a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Hartford, where he was a four-year member of the baseball team.
