The state’s largest business organization has named Alyssa Gorecki chief financial officer.

Gorecki will oversee financial planning, compliance, and reporting for the organization and its affiliates, as well as human resources, office administration, and information technology.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Alyssa to CBIA,” said CBIA president and CEO Chris DiPentima.

“She brings a wealth of knowledge to the role including her financial oversight, operational insight, and a deep understanding of compliance and risk management to support the organization’s growth.

“Equally important, her collaborative spirit and people-first approach make her not just a financial leader, but a cultural role model for CBIA.”

Collaborative Spirit

Prior to CBIA, Gorecki spent nine years working in the biotech industry, where she led corporate accounting functions, streamlined financial operations, and supported reporting and regulatory requirements.

She began her career as an auditor at Deloitte and RSM, where she gained foundational expertise in financial reporting and internal controls.

“I have always been passionate about Connecticut,” said Gorecki.

“I’m looking forward to leveraging my expertise in new technologies and software to add to the systems already in place at CBIA to support our mission to make this state an amazing place to do business.”

“Mary has been a trusted mentor, leader, and friend for so many in our organization over the years and I want to personally thank her for her years of dedication to CBIA.”
