NOTE: Due to Hurricane Sandy, this event scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30, has been cancelled.

Manufacturing has shaped the story of Connecticut for centuries and has the potential to shape our economy’s future as well. To cap October as Manufacturing Month in Connecticut, CBIA planned to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and workforce development professionals for a statewide policy forum on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Legislative Office Building. This event, however, was cancelled due to the storm.

Policymakers and business leaders are interested in the recommendations of the National Governors Association (NGA) Policy Academy on advanced manufacturing, and the role Connecticut’s new legislative Manufacturing Caucus can play in advancing manufacturing issues in the General Assembly.
