Fairfield SBA Workforce Seminar Set for Dec. 12
A good way to learn how to find new talent in your community is to listen to small business owners and other professionals who successfully hired workers who don’t fit the traditional mold.
These innovative hires include employees with disabilities, re-entry program participants, and foster youth who are transitioning into independence.
Employers work in collaboration with the state and other agencies to find these applicants.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has scheduled a workforce inclusivity/development seminar Dec. 12 from 8:30 am to noon at Fairfield University to explore these untapped talent pools.
You’ll hear from small businesses that have successfully hired people with disabilities, formerly incarcerated individuals, and foster youth who are transitioning into independence—and hear why your business should also consider these untapped sources of talent in your community.
The seminar will be held at Dolan Events Hall at the Dolan School of Business, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield.
