Behind the Business: HABCO’s Brian Carr

Brian Carr has worked as the facilities and materials manager at HABCO Industries for three years. 

The Glastonbury-based manufacturer makes ground support equipment for aircrafts. 

Carr said it is gratifying to know that what he’s making is helping save people’s lives. 

“I think what attracted me to manufacturing was seeing something turn from a raw material to a finished product and then going out the door to the customer,” Carr said. 

As a Connecticut native, he enjoys the wide range of outdoor activities the state offers, but would like to see the cost of living go down. 

“If we made it a little more affordable for families to stay and live in Connecticut, it would be great.”
