CompassMSP Merges with BlackPoint IT

West Hartford-based CompassMSP and Washington State-based BlackPoint IT have merged.
The merger creates a nationwide organization operating as CompassMSP.
Company officials said the organization will offer coast-to-coast support, deep vertical expertise, and expanded capabilities.
“This merger isn’t just about size—it’s about strength,” said CompassMSP CEO Michael Rapp.
“Together, CompassMSP and BlackPoint IT have created a right-sized, nationwide platform focused on delivering unmatched value and protection to our clients.”
Broadening Services
The combined organization has more than 300 employees.
The company said the merger allows them to deliver services across to small and midsize businesses and complex mid-market enterprises across the U.S.
BlackPoint has offices in Seattle, Dallas, and Phoenix with virtual offices in six states.

The company’s broadened service portfolio includes advanced cybersecurity solutions, cloud migration, vCIO advisory, unified communications, and compliance services.

Joining Forces
BlackPoint has provided IT services since it was founded in 1977.
CompassMSP started in 2016 with a focus on cloud, security, compliance, and managed IT infrastructure services.
Rapp will be the CEO of the newly combined company.
He was appointed CEO of CompassMSP in June, succeeding Ari Santiago in the role.
Santiago remained with the company as a strategic advisor.
