Former Federal Litigator Joins Harris Beach Murtha

Harris Beach Murtha is expanding its team in New Haven.  

Holley Claiborn, who served more than 20 years as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, has joined the firm as senior counsel.  

Claiborn will represent organizations across all industries in various types of business conflicts.  

“Holley has more than two decades of courtroom experience with a strong track record of securing victories,” Harris Beach Murtha Business Litigation Practice Group co-lead Jennifer Morgan said.

The firm said Claiborn will regularly represent publicly traded companies, privately held businesses, private equity firms and not-for-profit organizations in state and federal trial and appellate courts, mediations, arbitrations and administrative investigations and proceedings. 

As a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of the United States Trustee, she routinely litigated and negotiated complex legal, business, and financial issues, including several high-profile Chapter 11 cases in Connecticut.  

Claiborn also served as a liaison to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
