Milford-based staffing solutions company Aquinas Consulting has announced a significant expansion in Connecticut.

The company, which has already added 30 employees in 2021, will receive a state grant of up to $150,000 for creating and retaining 30 additional full-time employees.

“Our expansion is important to the continued success of Aquinas,” Aquinas president Tom Mercaldo said, “and we feel Connecticut is a good location in that it offers our employees a better quality of life than other locations.

“With more than 80 clients in 23 states, we are building a team in Connecticut that can deliver high tech engineer and information staffing solutions.”

Aquinas has placed over 3,000 people in jobs since its inception.

The company currently has about 90 employees in the state, and 160 across the country.

“I am thrilled that Aquinas has found success in Connecticut and continues to grow its operations here,” Gov. Ned Lamont said in a statement.

“Technology-focused companies of all types and sizes are finding growth opportunities in Connecticut.”
