CBIA’s BizCast team speaks with Sentry Commercial president and co-founder Mark Duclos about post-pandemic commercial leasing trends.

Duclos said large corporations have different needs for space because of evolving remote and hybrid work environments.

Now, landlords who own large buildings have to evaluate options.

Can they rent a full space to a single company, or do they need to divide space up for several companies?

In some cases, Duclos said they may have to knock down a building.

However, Duclos said he has seen large corporations looking for more land and industrial space in Connecticut because of the e-commerce boom.

“Land-rich towns that are centrally well located are going to do well, and certainly Windsor was one of those, South Windsor, East Windsor, and Enfield more specifically than East Windsor,” he said.
