The 2017 General Assembly session saw passage of several bills designed to assist small business in Connecticut.

HB 5583 supports the growth of small business in Connecticut by allowing investments in additional types of businesses to qualify for the angel investor tax credit.

HB 5584 establishes a small business hotline at the Department of Economic and Community Development to provide resources to assist sustainability and growth.

HB 7062 authorizes the DECD to create a “Made in Connecticut” logo for use by manufacturers and producers of Connecticut-made products.

HB 6749 creates a legislative working group to development a comprehensive, proactive marketing plan to attract business to the state.

Those bills now wait for the governor's signature.
