DECD, CBIA co-hosting events across Connecticut

Over the past several weeks, CBIA and the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) have been co-sponsoring forums around the state to showcase the state’s small business assistance programs, including the highly successful Small Business Express (EXP), Subsidized Training and Employment (Step Up), and Job Expansion Tax Credit (JET) programs.

In the last two years, DECD has helped hundreds of Connecticut small businesses improve operations, expand their scope of business, and create jobs. Equipped with an array of programs that provide small businesses with financial and technical support, DECD specialists are on hand at each forum to offer general information and specific, one-on-one counseling.

Programs are free and held from 9 to 11 am, unless otherwise noted. Here is the October schedule:

  • Thursday, Oct. 3: Groton (Groton Municipal Building, John DeLaura Auditorium)
  • Monday, Oct. 7: Willimantic (Eastern Connecticut State University, Library; Johnson Room)
  • Friday, Oct. 11: Norwich (Three Rivers Community College, Room C101, near New London Turnpike)
