Murtha Cullina’s DelMonico Elected to American Law Institute

Jennifer Morgan DelMonico, the immediate past chair of CBIA’s board of directors and a partner with law firm Murtha Cullina LLP, has been elected to the American Law Institute.

DelMonico joins an exclusive group of the nation’s top attorneys, judges, and law professors at ALI, the country’s leading independent organization working to clarify and modernize the law.

“Jennifer’s election to the American Law Institute further demonstrates her excellence in law,” said CBIA president and CEO Chris DiPentima. “The work she has done to protect the state’s manufacturers and healthcare businesses deserves to be recognized.” 

DelMonico is a trial lawyer for commercial litigation disputes and defendants in tort and product liability actions. She has represented clients in advanced manufacturing, technology, medical devices, and healthcare.  

As an ALI member, she will have the opportunity to influence the development of the law in both existing and emerging areas and to work with lawyers, judges, and academics to improve the legal system. 

Along with being the former chair of CBIA’s board, DelMonico was managing partner of Murtha Cullina from 2015 to 2020. 

She is also the treasurer of the board of directors of Lex Mundi, the world’s leading network of independent law firms.

DelMonico has received numerous awards throughout her career including the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year Award, the Hartford Business Journal Women in Business Award, and Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Alumnus of the Leadership Center Award.
