2024 Connecticut Manufacturing Innovation Fund Annual Report

Connecticut’s Manufacturing Innovation Fund was created in 2015 to support the growth, innovation, and progress of the state’s advanced manufacturing sector.

The fund’s fiscal year 2024 report details its support of Connecticut’s critical manufacturing sector, including facilitating access to financial resources, technical expertise, and skilled workers.

Administered by the Department of Economic and Community Development’s Office of Manufacturing and overseen by an advisory board, the fund provides direct loans and/or grants to support an array of initiatives, including:

• encouraging company/university collaboration in research and development efforts    
• providing vouchers to assist with business development and technical needs
• funding job training and educational programs that strengthen workforce skills 
• providing matching funds for federal grants
