Connecticut’s Manufacturing Innovation Fund was created in 2015 to support the growth, innovation, and progress of the state’s advanced manufacturing sector.

The fund’s fiscal year 2025 report details its support of Connecticut’s critical manufacturing sector, including facilitating access to financial resources, technical expertise, and skilled workers.

Administered by the Department of Economic and Community Development’s Office of Manufacturing and overseen by an advisory board, the fund provides direct loans and/or grants to support an array of initiatives.

The fund helps small- and medium-sized manufacturers keep pace with technological change, adopt smart manufacturing practices, and build a pipeline of skilled talent—enhancing productivity, competitiveness, and job creation.

The fund also serves as a catalyst for private investment, leveraging every state dollar into multiple dollars of additional investment in equipment, research and development, and workforce
training.
