Industry representatives are also needed to serve on advisory committees that will help schools with manufacturing programs become NIMS-certified. Support Your Local Technical High School's Machining Program

CBIA is pleased to announce that Connecticut's technical high school have begun to align their manufacturing program curricula to NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) standards. Under this new initiative, all manufacturing students will be required to pass at least four Level I Machining credentials in order to graduate.
