Travelers’ Charitable Giving Hit $24M in 2025

Hartford‑based Travelers Cos. donated $24 million in charitable contributions in 2025, while employees logged more than 125,000 volunteer hours nationwide, according to the company’s latest community impact report.

The Connecting with Our Communities report details Travelers’ philanthropic giving and volunteer efforts across education, workforce development, community resilience, and arts and culture.

In Connecticut, Travelers said it continued to make substantial, multi‑year commitments to local organizations and institutions.

“The numbers in this year’s report—paired with inspiring examples of the meaningful ways that we supported our nonprofit partners—reflect something much bigger than dollars and hours,” said Travelers Foundation president and CEO Lisa Walker.

“They demonstrate our employees’ dedication to strengthening communities and our enduring belief that how we show up for our neighbors is an important measure of who we are as a company.”

Education Funding

Travelers is a founding partner of Hartford Promise, a college scholarship program for Hartford public school graduates.

In 2025, the company committed $1 million over four years to the Greater Futures Scholarship Fund, a collaboration between Hartford Promise and the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation.

The fund will provide eligible students with scholarships of up to $100,000.

Travelers sponsors innovation awards at the Connecticut Invention Convention State Finals, where employees serve as judges for student inventions.

In 2025, Travelers volunteers also assembled more than $5,000 worth of school supplies to help educators across the state.

Other Initiatives

Beyond education, Travelers made a $1 million, five‑year commitment to the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art.

The funding will help the museum restore its Wednesday hours for the first time since the COVID‑19 pandemic.

The company provided $530,000 in grants to support 17 Hartford‑based arts organizations in partnership with the Greater Hartford Arts Council.

Travelers has donated more than $237 million in the past decade.

And, employees volunteered with Levo International, an urban farming nonprofit, to help combat food insecurity in Hartford’s North End by building greenhouses and hydroponic systems.

Additional initiatives highlighted in the report include:

  • $6.3 million to academic and career development organizations through Travelers EDGE
  • $6.1 million to partners dedicated to creating and maintaining safe, stable, and resilient neighborhoods
  • $3 million to arts and cultural organizations
  • $1 million to assist with California wildfire relief

Over the past decade, Travelers has invested more than $237 million in charitable giving.
