Thomaston Savings Awards Hartford County Grants

The Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation announced a new series of grants benefiting nonprofit and government organizations in Hartford County.

The 57 grants totaling $153,435 are part of the first phase of the bank’s Foundation Grant Cycle.

Each phase of the program focuses on a specific county where the bank has a physical presence.

The Hartford County grants will help organizations in Bristol, Farmington, Unionville, and New Britain that are addressing community needs.

One of those organizations is the Bristol Adult Resource Center

 “These funds are essential in supporting BARC’s Art Program calendar, which showcases work from our artists.” said executive director Ivonne Daigle.

Thomaston Savings Bank is now accepting applications for Phase II of the program benefiting organizations in Litchfield County.

Local nonprofit and government agencies in Bethlehem, Harwinton, Plymouth, Terryville, Thomaston, Torrington, Watertown and Oakville can apply online before the July 31 deadline.

Since its inception in 1997, the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation has awarded more than $11.5 million in grant funding.
