Albertelli to Succeed Eddy at Pratt & Whitney

Pratt & Whitney is getting new leadership, with Jill Albertelli named to succeed Shane Eddy as president of the East Hartford-based jet engine manufacturer.

Albertelli will assume the president’s role effective Jan. 1, 2027, Pratt parent RTX said in a Sept. 15 announcement.

Eddy, who was named president in 2022, is retiring after a four decade-plus career with Pratt that began on the flight line as a mechanic.

Albertelli, who has spent over 30 years with the company—most recently leading the military engines division—will report directly to RTX chair and CEO Chris Calio.

Eddy will remain with the company through through March 2027 as a special advisor to support the leadership transition.

‘Proven Track Record’

Albertelli’s career at Pratt spans engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, sales, and strategy.

She secured the company’s position as sole source propulsion provider for the F-35 fighter jet program, overseeing improved delivery and quality performance.

Calio credited Eddy’s leadership for helping the company post record sales growth, guiding the company through a major transformation.

“Shane’s steadfast leadership—paired with his relentless focus on our CORE operating system, our people and our customers—helped Pratt & Whitney achieve record sales growth and positioned the business for continued success,” he said.
