Governor, Fiscal Stability Commission Chairs to Speak at Business Day

Hundreds of business leaders from across the state will converge on the Capitol Wednesday, March 14 for Connecticut Business Day 2018.
They will share their concerns with lawmakers on a number of issues including the state’s fiscal condition, workforce development, workplace mandates, transportation, and more.
Connecticut Business Day 2018 is hosted by CBIA and the Connecticut Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, in coordination with numerous state chambers of commerce and business and professional organizations.
The day’s program begins at 9 am at the Legislative Office Building (Room 2C). Governor Malloy is expected to make remarks at 9:05 am.
Business Day will also feature a presentation from the Commission on Fiscal Stability and Economic Growth.
Commission co-chairs James Smith, former CEO of Webster Bank, and Robert Patricelli, former CEO of Women’s Health USA, will speak in detail about their work and recommendations.
Attendees will also get an opportunity to speak to legislators in breakout sessions that will cover specific issue areas.
