Nominations Sought for NACOSH Membership

The U.S. Department of Labor is looking for nominations for membership on the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health.

The 12-member NACOSH advises the Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Health and Human Services on issues relating to the Occupational Safety and Health Act. 

The 1970 act is designed to ensure safe and healthy conditions for workers. 

OSHA is seeking four nominations for representatives on the committee for terms that are set to expire in 2025. 

The nominations are for the following membership positions:

  • One public representative
  • One management representative
  • One labor representative
  • One occupational safety professional representative

The Acting Secretary of Labor will appoint members to serve a two-year term beginning Jan. 16, 2025.

Nominations can be submitted online. They must be submitted by Aug. 16.
