Bridgeport Launches $125,000 Small Business Program

Small businesses in Bridgeport have a new opportunity to receive thousands of dollars in grants and training through a new partnership with Optimum Business and the Bridgeport Regional Business Council.
The Lifting Up Small Businesses in Bridgeport program will award $5,000 grants to 25 qualifying businesses across the city.
Totaling more than $125,000 in direct support, the program is designed to be a catalyst for revitalizing the local economy.
Brick-and-mortar establishments who have been in business for at least a year and have 25 or fewer full-time equivalent employees can qualify for the program.
Eligibility
Applicants must demonstrate how the grant will stimulate growth and positively impact the local community.
Eligible uses include business beautification projects, marketing initiatives, and business development projects.

Funds may not be used to pay salaries, debt, vehicles, or taxes.
Applications are being accepted until Aug.15.
If awarded the grant, the business must complete their project by Aug. 31, 2026.
